The Nike React Hyperset is if anything Uber comfortable. Borrowing from their Bball counterparts, many volleyball sneakers reuse tooling the just works. If it isn’t broken then, don’t fix it.

Looking for the best pair I could find for outdoor hoops I stumbled upon a pair of Nike Hypersets. An indoor volleyball sneaker that is good enough for spikes (and hoops). Keep reading to learn more.

traction 10/10: the hyperset, like many Nike Volleyball sneakers, borrows traction & tooling from popular and successfull basketball sneakers (ex. hyperdunk 2017, Kobe 6, Hyperlive, etc.) that just work. From a design & production standpoint many solutions designed for court sports overlap in the problems and movements that they have to solve for. the Traction, identical to the hyperdunk 2017 is great indoors. Soft and pliable gum rubber with a data driven, organic, topographical pattern that worked well moving in multiple directions. I wouldn’t recommonded them for outdoors as they are better options with more durable rubber (ex. XDR outsoles) that would be better.
Cushioning 7/10: The Nike Hyperset like the hyperdunk 2017 uses a react midsole. originally introducing use to lunar foam via the original Hyperdunk 08, and later on updated Lunarlon with the 2012 version. The 2017 model intruced us to react as the update version of responsive foam cushioning. Zoom air has still been great for low to the ground reactive and responsive cushioning, but responsive foams have there place. if you enjoyed react cushioning then these will work just fine for you. the insole provided great step in comfort while being removable if you need to use your own custom orthodics. Try before you buy.

Fit 6/10: The fit on the Hyperset are really good. I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. The Upper is broken into a few parts. A form fitting upper with a sculpted tongue, integrated lacing, a wide and comfortable toebox that allows the toes to splay properly are the base layer. strap, while interesting helps to connect the midfoot to the seperated heel, which helps to assist in stablity and support without restricting proper movement or mobility.
Comfort 7/10: The fit and materials really helped with the comfort on the hyperset. The partial bootie upper was breathable and cool to the foot, while the seprated heel had enough ankle padding to comfortably keep your foot secure and in place. the insole and cusioning were also a a comfortable experience from stepping in to impact protection.
Materials 7/10: the materials worked from a comfort and performance aspect. The breathable partial bootie kept your feet cool, comfrotable and dry with fuse & synthetic leather overlays on the midfoot and toe box. the integrated lacing and flywire combined with the unique and lightweight cross over strap help keep your foot locked in and secure during play. the breathable and lightwieght meshes and synthetics did a good job on the upper with harming or using any animal products. Overall the materials got the job done without any cumbersome hinderences to fit, feel, comfort or performance.
Durability 7/10: if used indoors for there intended purpose the nike react hyperset set should last at least a season or more. The react cushioning could bottom out or lose responsiveness over time especially if you are heavy for your hieght, but that is someting that can be said for many foam based cushioning. as long as you keep the outsole clean then the Nike React Hyperset should keep performing great over the life of the shoe.
Overall: the Nike React hyperset is a great Sneaker for indoor court Sports including, but not limited to volleyball, Netball, badmiton and even hoops. the traction is great especially when keep clean and the upper is secure enough to explosive and dynamic movements. breatable, comfortable and well fitting with room for your toes to splay. the sneakers a very refreshing and wonderful find. buy them online or at your nearest retailer (that specializes in volleyball or indoor court sprots equipment. There are other versions that released later, but these are a great option if you can find them.
